Instructions on how to get an autograph or autographed picture from Emma Watson or other Harry Potter actors and actresses

Getting an autograph or autographed picture of Emma Watson or any of your other favorite Harry Potter characters or actors and actresses is as easy as sending a letter as long as you do it correctly. Here is what you need to do.

First, make sure that your letter is polite and that you request an autograph or autographed picture near the top of your letter. In your letter, do not ask for Emma Watson’s (or other actor’s/actress’s) personal information, if she will marry/date you or if she can write you personally. She is very busy making Harry Potter movies and she gets literally thousands of letters a week. She would love to answer all her mail, but if she did, she would not have the time to be Hermione Granger in all of the movies.

Second, include a Self Addressed Stamped Envelope with your letter. This is an envelope that has your address on it with enough postage on it to be able to be mailed back to you. If you decide to send your fan letter outside the country where you live, you will need to include a International Postal Reply Coupon and a self-addressed envelope. The International Postal Reply Coupon will be used as the postage. You local post office can help you get one of these.

Third, if you are requesting an autographed picture, makes sure your Self Addressed Stamped Envelope is big enough. You may get a small picture, but you may get an 8×10 picture. Make sure that your envelope is big enough to put an 8×10 in, if you are lucky enough to get one. Wouldn’t you hate it if you were chosen to get a big picture and they couldn’t send it because you sent a small envelope? An envelope that will fit an 8×10 picture will be big enough.
